4-2-1 Classes Including The Reformer
Individually taught sessions where the instructor works with up to four people at a time. Each client will be given a personalised set of exercises and will be guided through their session by the instructor. These sessions can only be booked during normal studio opening hours (see above).

1-2-1 Sessions
Individually taught classes where the instructor works with only one client. These are not private as other instructors may be teaching at the same time. The sessions must be booked in advance within the usual studio opening hours.

Pre & Post Natal Sessions
Pilates is usually good for pre and post Natal, and after the first trimester you could start to attend our Pilates classes.
A letter from your doctor or consultant to confirm that you are able to attend the Pilates studio for classes is required.
For pregnant ladies we teach 4.2.1 sessions, ideal for developing the Pilates program to help you during the next months.
Sessions have a maximum of 4 people in the studio and the instructor will work with each client on their individual programme to help them achieve their goals, and will work with up to 3 people at a time. The classes last for 60 minutes, are a combination of mat work and machines, and are booked by appointment – available at most times, depending on how busy the studio is.

Please note that classes cancelled without 24 hours notice will be charged at full price unless you are able to book an alternative class within 6 days.

How Can You Get Started?

If you would like to see how Pilates works, come and visit us. An instructor will show you around and explain the workings of the studio.

If you decide you would like to give it a try, you will be asked to fill out a form giving your medical history and details of any injuries and current treatments. If necessary, you will be asked to bring a letter from your GP or specialist before you start.

At the first session, your posture will be assessed by an instructor, who will point out any imbalances and asymmetrical aspects. You may be surprised by the faults they pick up, but don’t worry – we all have them at first. Fitter people will be challenged by the teacher, and all find it an enjoyable experience. Over the next few sessions, your instructor will show you the basics of the method and help you to develop an individual programme that works for your physique. Thereafter you will use the Pilates studio to do your own routine, under the constant supervision of the instructors.

Please feel free to come for a visit – find your local studio on our contact page.
